He said he would and he did! Buffalo Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens hosted 81 local families to make the season a little brighter.
The Terrell Owens Catch A Dream Foundation is a non profit organization created to erase hunger and the lack of basic daily needs from households.
During the month of December, as he celebrates his birthday, Owens accepts e-mails and selects families who may need financial assistance. Owens spoke at length about why he gives back.
This year, he says he was touched by a little boy in Buffalo who wrote that he did not have a father so he (the little boy) wants to be a role model for the family. Owens hosted the event at the Ralph Wilson Fieldhouse and met everyone in the facility. Wearing a Santa hat, along with his helpers, Kita and Moe, Owens was accompanied by his mother and sister.
